Minor Basilica dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta, built by the Normans at the end of the eleventh century and rebuilt and enlarged at the end of the fifteenth century. It consists of three naves separated by columns with capitals which are all different. The church is rich in polychrome marble altars of early eighteenth century. You can admire the baptismal source, a statue of St. Michael (1538), a chorus of the end of 16th century made in walnut wood, a stone altarpiece of the fifteenth century, a wooden crucifix of the XVI-XVII century and an organ with 2,135 pipes. The ceiling is made of decorated gilded wood.
