It's the oldest museum in the city, wanted by Baron Hector Pomarici-Santomasi in its seventeenth-century mansion and distributed on three surfaces. In a room on the ground floor you can admire the great frescoes of the twelfth century removed in the fifties of the last century from the cave church of San Vito. The first floor has the original Baroque apartment of the baron and a rich library. On the second floor are the archaeological section (with various types of artifacts from long and tiring excavations carried out over the centuries on the plateau of Botromagno hill and on the edge of the ravine), a numismatic section and a picture gallery with fine paintings including a "St. Sebastian" in 1599 by Ludovico Carracci, a "Madonna and Child" and "Jesus among the doctors" by Francesco Guarino.
