The CSAC, Center for the study and archive of Communication, in the Abbazia of Valserena, was designed by the University of Parma as a public service focusing on communication topics, a place where all items about communication are gathered, preserved and analyzed.
It is divided into five departments: arts, media, design, photography, entertainment; each one housing several documents on contemporary culture.
The art department displays about 100 works such as paintings and sculptures: from Sironi to Fontana, to Birolli, Vedova, Morlotti, Mattioli, Veronesi, Consagra, Schifano, Paolini, Max Bill.
