The firm "Alberto Olmi" was originally located in Porta Romana, where it produced stringed instruments that were also in demand on the foreign market. After moving to via Montanini, it took on a more commercial orientation, becoming the most specialized store in the music sector. The founder died in 1937, and Mino and Marino Olmi took over, continuing the family business. In the 1960s, the store was moved to Banchi di Sopra No. 49, where it remained until recently before moving to its current location. Inside the current store, numerous vintage musical instruments are on display, as well as an Edison phonograph from the early 20th century, which the Olmi firm was the exclusive dealer for.
