(New Palace) Located in Piazza Cavour, next to the Palazzo dell'Arengo, built around 1330, it today appears completely distorted by the restorations of the 1920s: in fact, the pointed arches facing the square are a pure invention of the restorer, even if they faithfully reproduce those that still exist in the rear part, belonging to the true facade of the original building that faced a square that no longer exists, and which must have been irregular, picturesque, fragmented, common also to other public buildings, including the ancient cathedral of Santa Colomba.
