Liberrima was founded as an independent bookstore in 1993, housed in a Baroque palace overlooking a beautiful 18th-century courtyard in the heart of Lecce's historic center, just steps from the Duomo. Over the years, Liberrima has expanded into three other surrounding buildings, exploring new topics and stimulating new experiences, becoming an ecosystem of spaces that has acquired an innovative cultural significance over time, recognized by the public as a point of reference for cultural encounters and experiences. Throughout the year, the bookstore offers a rich program of events: author readings, game workshops for children, literary dinners, dinner concerts, wine, oil, and pasta tastings, and more.
