About this tour
This Pompeii guided tour with transport from Naples is organised around three places that show the town at work and at rest. You leave Naples with your guide, travel to the site and enter with the ticket already included.
The walk starts in the Forum, where politics, trade and social life once met, and the guide helps you picture it as it was. Next comes the Lupanare, the town's brothel, whose frescoes give a frank view of private life in Roman society. Last of the three is the Thermopolium, a stall where Pompeians grabbed food and gossiped.
From there the route continues through houses, temples and theatres, with frescoes in remarkably good condition, and the guide adds facts and stories about the eruption of Mount Vesuvius that ended it all.
