About this tour
Hop aboard a traditional boat with a skipper for a Cinque Terre boat trip with snorkeling that lasts about three hours and starts in Monterosso. You can pick a morning, an afternoon or a sunset departure, and the coast reveals itself village by village from the water.
First comes Fegina beach and the Giant, a 14-metre statue of Neptune built in 1910 from reinforced concrete and iron. Then the boat heads south to Vernazza, founded around the year 1000, with its dry stone walls and vineyards. The swimming stop is in Guvano Bay, a pebble beach with turquoise water and Mediterranean scrub behind it. Masks and floats are on board, so you can swim and snorkel, and afterwards prosecco, Aperol Spritz or beer is poured.
- Vernazza and its small port
- Guvano Bay for swimming and snorkeling
- Corniglia, the only village not touching the sea, about 100 metres up
- Manarola, on a 70-metre rock, and Riomaggiore
On the way back the boat keeps about 500 metres from the shore, which gives a wide view over the whole bay. Food and hotel transfers are not included, and the trip is not suitable for children under 13.
