The business was founded in 1869. Over five generations of the Ricci family, it underwent significant changes, transitioning from a haberdashery, one of the most esteemed of its time, to a small paint and varnish workshop. It was also accompanied by an artistic activity with the production of objects decorated with a pyrograph. In the 1920s, fine art products were sold: oil, tempera, and colors for decoration. From the 1940s onward, the store became a point of reference for many students and artists. In 1983, the sign bearing the inscription "Mesticheria Ricci" was removed but preserved by the founding family before they definitively ceded the business. Inside the store, there are shelves from the late nineteenth century.
