The complex of St. Augustine, formed by the church and convent, is a place of worship dating from the late sixteenth century. It consists of the monastery, built by the monks of the order of Emeritani of St. Augustine in 1592 on an ancient underground, and the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, built in 1594.
Destroyed by a terrible earthquake in 1734, it was restored and became the headquarters of the General Chapter of the Augustinian Order. The convent was later suppressed. Today it houses the Superintendence for Architectural and Environmental Heritage.
