Via dei Fori Imperiali offers a unique walk in the world, extending from Piazza Venezia to the Colosseum, through the area of the Republican and Imperial Forums, the commercial and political heart of ancient Rome. Along the avenue, you can admire the plans made on travertine slabs that indicate the expansion of the Roman Empire. The lighting system, which brings life back to the basilicas, colonnades, and temples, is suggestive. The Passeggiata Rivaldi, restored in 1996, opens directly onto Via dei Fori Imperiali and culminates in a panoramic terrace offering a unique view of ancient Rome. In this area, at the beginning of the seventeenth century, there was a beautiful villa, which in the twentieth century became the seat of the Pio Istituto Rivaldi.
