The Church of San Leonardo in Borghi is a church in Lucca located on Via San Leonardo. Built in 1118, it was secularized during the Napoleonic period and completely renovated when it reopened for worship in 1821. Only the south side of the medieval structure remains, reused in the current building. From the ancient furnishings, the Madonna in Glory between Saints Leonardo and Mark the Evangelist by Giovanni Marracci remains. Some paintings previously located in the destroyed oratory of the Gonfalone also became part of its patrimony, including the Madonna of Mercy by Paolo Biancucci and the Madonna of Miracles by Gaspare Mannucci, preserved in the sacristy. In 1917, a chapel was opened, which is the only organic example of Art Nouveau in a Luccan church and where a Madonna and Child by the sculptor Augusto Passaglia is venerated.
