It was founded for the Catholic Greeks in 1606. It is characterized by the iconostasis. Two of the former four icons, made by Anthimos Kolas from Zante in 1610, on the sides of the portal of the iconostasis escaped the damages of the war.
An unknown slave of the Bagno di Livorno made the twelve icons, dedicated to the most important festivities of the Byzantine church, between 1640 and 1643. In 1640 Thomas Benetos from Crete made the inlay work that frames the Cross and the painting on wood representing the Piangenti. In 1750 the German Agostino Van der Brachen represented on the other doors the "Apostles", the "Nativity" and the "Epiphany".
