Opening hours: The Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana is open every day, except religious and civil holidays of the Italian State, with this schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM; Tuesday and Thursday: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM; Saturday and Sunday: closed. The distribution of documents is carried out without interruption during the opening hours. Requests after 5:00 PM will not be accepted on Tuesday and Thursday and after 1:30 PM on Monday, Wednesday, Friday. The documents will be withdraw 15 minutes prior to closing. The Library is closed to the public September 1 to 15 for dusting and revisions. In particular, the Library is closed on January 1st and 6th, April 25, May 1, June 2, June 24, the feast of st. Giovanni Battista (patron saint of Florence) on 15 August, 1st November, December 8th, 25th and 26th December. The area Monumental Vestibule, Staircase and Michelangelo Library is open to the public during bibliography exhibitions.
