It represents the most important green area in the centre of the town. The bare slopes of the hill Garampo needed a proper setting already in 1800's, but only after the First World War the project was realized.
So, in 1924, the new park was open and the monumental entrance from Viale Mazzoni, too, with intitolation of both to the victims of the war. In 1944 at the bottom of the hill some air-raid shelters were realized and today are partly visitable.
The park is today the ideal place for a walk or a run, with chance to admire some rare species of plants.
