The exhibition space Ramhotel, inside the RAM graphic studio, is aimed at promoting the work of young international authors of graphic novels, following a tradition that made Bologna the Italian capital of the comic art. The space “Ramhotel” is an exhibition space located in the old town center of Bologna, inside a factory that works in the field of graphics, art and comics, enabling the public to enjoy the works exhibited inside a production place. This particular feature of the place, the combination of creation and exhibition, creates a close link between the works exhibited and their creation.
Besides, the space “Ramhotel” aims at giving visibility to young talented drawers of the international comics scene, to authors who often won prizes at important international shows, such as the comics festival of Lucerne, the comics festival of Angouleme, BilBOlbul of Bologna, Napolicomicon and the festival Luccacomics and games, providing links and facilitating an exchange between our town and the wide network of the people who create comics or who deal with comics, especially in Europe. This place is aimed at facilitating cultural relations, creating the occasion for personal growth and an exchange of experiences between the authors, the public and the people working in the sector, such as editors, distributors, booksellers and others.
