The park was created in the late nineteenth century when the monastery became a hospital. It develops along the side of the hill and the church, arriving to via Codivilla through a long winding road. This final part near via Codivilla is called Remo Scoto Garden. The park of San Michele in Bosco is owned by Istituti Ortopedici Rizzoli. Vegetation is almost exclusively arboreal.
