Founded in 1970, this museum is composed of items collected by Missionary priests. A typical Mozambican house is represented in one of the museum halls. In other halls there are ivory items, wide palm leaf fans, rises from Portuguese colonial times and jewels. There also are works by Zambian, Zairean, Ethiopian, Tanzanian and Ghanaian artist representing motherhood, animal life, and commemorations of the first year of independence.
