Nazario Sauro Promenade is a coastal avenue, extension of Crollalanza Promenade, offering a beautiful panoramic view of the coast of Bari.
It starts from the roundabout of Piazza Armando Diaz, goes along the Provincial Art Gallery and the General Command of the Schools of the Air Force, and then merges into the Promenade Armando Perotti.
It was built during the Fascist period: Antonio Crollalanza, Podestà of Bari from 1925 to 1936 as well as Secretary of the Ministry of Public Works and Minister of Public Works, was the promoter of the arrangement of the banks and the construction of the road, functional to the new buildings of representation as the Hotel Nations, the Palace of the Province, the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Works and the barracks of the Carabinieri Chiaffredo Bergia.
