Post-war Italy marks the beginning of the story of Soprana. In 1946 three brothers (Adolfo , Roberto and Edoardo) open their first jewelry - watches and optics store in Valdagno. Just ten years after Adolfo Soprana moved to Vicenza, and opened a jewelry store in Piazza dei Signori. So more than 50 years ago the adventure of this historical jewelry started: a journey that has spanned half a century by binding to the people and the life of this city in every event, private or public.
In 1973 Adolfo replaces the old jewelry Marangoni and since then the company has continued to invest in the new shop, both in terms of infrastructure and culture. The Basilica became the heart of the activity of Soprana family, that devote passion and energy to the business. The history of Soprana, as well as a prestigious business venture, it is primarily a journey of passion and love for the history of jewelry and watchmaking. In recent years the jewelry has become the promoter of many cultural events, animated by a spirit of neo- concrete patronage that has led to real cultural operations for the restoration of important pieces of the history of Vicenza. Soprana has always invested in the culture, not only sponsoring but also organizing events, exhibitions, concerts, restorations and research, such as the one about Basilica commercial activity in 800, led by Manuela Barausse.
In 2000 , on the occasion of the Jubilee Year , Soprana has designed and executed the restoration of the Crown of the Basilica of Monte Berico, returning it to the faithful and to the city. The Crown represents an exceptional testimony to the great devotion of Vicenza and shows the extraordinary mastery of the craftsmen who executed it. It was Marangoni (who Adolfo Soprana acquired the shop by) to create it in the late nineteenth century. Restoration followed the publication of an important book and an exhibition at the museum in Vicenza , located in the palladian Chiericati Palace.
The following year, on the occasion of the restoration of the Tower Bissara (with the studies of Dr. Barausse) was made a show on the six hundred years of history of the clock tower Bissara, hosted in the great Hall of Zavatteri . The occasion was propitious also to reintroduce the phase of the moon that was missing for 200 years. The surgery was the result of an in-depth historical and documentary study.
In 2006, during the first fifty years of presence in the Piazza dei Signori, Soprana promoted and curated the exhibition "Il Gioiello di Vicenza" at the Diocesan Museum of Vicenza. Today Lella and Stefano Soprana, together with his sons Matteo and Giovanni, are continuing with the same energy and passion this story projected into the future of a tradition of intense emotions.
