The business was founded on Via Stalloreggi, across the street from its current location; from 1963 to 2003 it was moved to Via dei Fusari. Currently, it is located in what is said to have been the workshop of Duccio di Boninsegna, where the painter painted the famous "Maestà." For this reason, it seems that the entrance door, too large to be the door of a tower house, as the ancient palace where the pastry shop is located, was widened to allow the painting to pass through when it was brought to the Duomo. The workshop is annexed to the shop and is visible to the public. Be sure to try the chocolate cantucci, ricciarelli and panforte.
