The origins of this ancient workshop, born as a tinsmith's shop and still run by the Brocchi family, date back to the beginning of the 19th century. The activity, which was registered with the Chamber of Commerce of Siena in 1925, remained classified until 1967 with the old definition of "calderaio" (boilermaker). The company's specialty, until the beginning of the 20th century, was the processing of wrought iron. The historic building preserves an ancient large-sized cutting machine. Both the shop and the workshop remain in their original premises, where the old furnishings and shop windows are preserved, as well as the tools for working with iron and copper, a brick-built forge and a large 19th-century bellows.
