The business began with Alirdo Falchini, of Florentine origins. The shop started as a fur and leather goods store in the current small storefront. Subsequently, it expanded to the neighboring shop where the furs were made. The brass rods high above the inner windows were used to hang the skins on display for customers to choose from. Wrought iron windows, liberty-style shelves and internal cabinets, as well as decorations, are still present. A stylized spike decorative motif invented by the founder dominates and still characterizes the business.
