The church of Maria Ausiliatrice is located on Via San Giovanni Bosco, outside the city’s historic center, in an urban area that developed between the late 19th century and the early 20th century.
The church was built to support the Salesian oratory that developed in Savona at the end of the 19th century. It is modest in size and lacks a bell tower, featuring an octagonal plan with a façade partially hidden by the surrounding school and civic buildings.
