Palazzo Bonocore is a building in Palermo dating back to 1509. It forms part of the setting of Piazza Pretoria, and its current appearance dates back to the Lo Faso family, Dukes of Serradifalco. It was restored by the Superintendence for Cultural Heritage of Palermo and has been reopened to the public, hosting an exhibition on the Greco-Albanian and Latin liturgical tradition in Sicily.
It is a neoclassical building, whose facade was most likely designed by the Duke Lo Faso of Serradifalco, an important intellectual of the first half of the 19th century and an amateur architect. It represents a framing element that delimits the perimeter of the square, with the main Corso Vittorio Emanuele behind it.
The external facade features cornices and capitals recently restored to their original brightness. The interior features splendid halls entirely decorated with paintings from the second half of the 19th century.
