The Hercules Fountain is a fountain in Palermo dating back to the 19th century.
Located at the end of the homonymous avenue, which runs parallel to the Diana avenue through the Favorita park, the fountain is in pure neoclassical style. At the center we find a Doric column surmounted by a statue (recently restored) depicting the mythological hero, a copy of the Farnese Hercules kept at the National Archaeological Museum of Naples.
The decoration of the basin is enriched by four sphinxes and is equipped with a powerful water game consisting of over 170 jets and four splashes from mascarons sculpted in marble.
