The Wind Tower of Bergamo is a building constructed in 1941 on the connecting road that links the city to the Milan – Venice motorway.
Designed by the architect Alziro Bergonzo, it is a tall brick building with an octagonal plan, surmounted by a truncated conical spire. Each facade is animated by a vertical row of square windows, while at the top are placed terracotta panels by the Soresinese sculptor Leone Lodi.
The original perspective placement of the monument is now somewhat altered in its monumental effect by the recent modifications to the motorway connections.
