Medieval Gothic stone arches frame the entrance to the Caffè Medioevo, and the rooms inside are embellished with frescoes, expertly restored and with the addition of modern elements, that create a setting of classical enchantment. The locale opened as a barber shop in the early 1900s, and in the 1920s it was transformed into a café, which it has remained ever since. In the 1960-80s it delighted Perugians with its pastries. More recently, on June 2, 2007, its management was taken over by the renowned B&B Caffè pastry shop, which since 1995 had been combining tradition, quality and courteous service.
