Step back in time and relive the ancient connection between Padua and Venice on a full-day mini cruise. Imagine yourself on board a luxurious boat, gliding along the historic waterways, just like the traditional Burchiello boats that once ferried elegant passengers between the two cities. Our journey begins at the picturesque Burchiello Stairway in Padua, from where we'll follow the original 18th-century route of the Venetian Burchielli. As we cruise along, take in the breathtaking views of the Villa Giovanelli at Noventa Padovana, its stunning architecture and beautifully manicured gardens. On board, relax on the open-air deck, soak up the sun, and enjoy the gentle lapping of the water against the boat's hull. Our first stop is Stra, where we'll disembark for a guided tour of the magnificent Villa Pisani, an imposing villa surrounded by a stunning park, complete with a grand pool and impressive stables. As we continue towards Dolo, marvel at the historic illustrations of the various villas we'll pass, showcasing the rich history of the region. Next, we'll navigate through the Dolo Lock and make our way to Mira, where we'll stop to explore the 18th-century Villa Widmann, a stunning mansion once belonging to a noble family of Persian origin. After lunch at the historic "Burchiello" restaurant in Oriago, we'll cruise to Malcontenta, passing by picturesque villages and swing bridges along the way. In Malcontenta, we'll visit the majestic Villa Foscari, designed by the famous architect Palladio and a cherished UNESCO World Heritage Site. This stunning villa, located on the edge of the lagoon, offered its powerful Venetian owner easy access to the city of Venice. Finally, we'll navigate through the Moranzani Lock and cross the lagoon, docking at San Marco's Riva degli Schiavoni, at the charming "Pontile della Pietà" landing stage.
