Prosdocimi stationery's history begins in the year 1900, when Attilio Prosdocimi and his wife Giovanna Molini took over a stationery shop in Piazza Pedrocchi from a distant relative.
At the shop, opened 10 hours per day and also on Sunday morning, Mrs. Giovanna was always present, as later her sons Giulio and Emilio Giuseppe, who also started a wholesale warehouse in 1925, used to do the same.
In the 1960s, even Emilio's son, Marino, began working at the shop and still manages it today, assisted by his children, continuing the tradition of a name that in Padua is still synonymous with top quality stationery.
In 1982, the small shop in Pedrocchi square has expanded and now occupies the premises of the former hotel Leon Bianco, where one can appreciate the magnificent hall decorated with frescoes and stuccoes dating back to the beginning of the 20th century.
On the shelves, instead, one can find sought after stationery items, such as the collection of fountain pens of the elegant pen shop. The old venue now hosts a new shop, which retails posters and gift items, called Sottobosco.
