About this tour

This pasta and tiramisu cooking class in Villafranca di Verona begins outdoors, with a stroll through the old market beside a local chef, in the centre of Villafranca di Verona. Together you pick the fresh ingredients for the day. When the market is not running, you choose them with the chef in selected local shops instead.

Then it is a short walk to the place where the class is held, where you work with just eggs and flour and learn the techniques for making good pasta the way grandmothers did. You knead the dough by hand and shape two kinds: one long pasta, and one filled with seasonal vegetables from the market. You also build a tiramisu, the dessert Italians love most.

The last part is the reward. You sit down together and eat what you made, with a selection of renowned Verona wines poured alongside.

  • A lesson with a local chef
  • Lunch made from the dishes you prepared
  • Local wines and the tiramisu

The whole experience takes about four hours and is meant to be enjoyed together, cooking and eating in company. Tips for the chef are not included.
