Rivoire is a historic establishment in Florence, located at Piazza della Signoria 5/r. In the headings of the first receipts issued by the Rivoire company, which has been based since 1872 on the ground floor of the nineteenth-century Palazzo delle Assicurazioni Generali, it reads: "Enrico Rivoire - Steam Chocolate Factory." It is precisely for this specialty that the Florentine company became famous. With its outdoor tables beautifully overlooking the square and Palazzo Vecchio, during the early decades of the twentieth century, it became a charming "salon" of the city, where even today original wooden furnishings blend with quality products and table service.
