The Children's Museum, later renamed Mus.e, is a non-profit association based in Florence. Founded in 2000, it offers activities and workshops to promote the knowledge of the Florentine Civic Museums. It is located in Palazzo Vecchio and provides: two small theaters, the Room of Stories of Bia and Garcia for children aged 3 to 7, and Renaissance Civilization (starting from 8 years old); a multimedia room; a workshop for painting activities using the fresco technique or panel painting. Various modes of visiting Palazzo Vecchio are also available, including Secret Paths, a guided tour by Giorgio Vasari, the Invitation to the Royal Palace where one can interact with Cosimo I de' Medici and Eleonora of Toledo, as well as the path dedicated to the places of Inferno by Dan Brown. The association also organizes workshops and guided tours of the areas of the Museo di Palazzo Vecchio, such as the studiolo of Francesco I, the staircase of the Duke of Athens, the treasury of Cosimo I, the chapel of Eleonora of Toledo, or the dressing room of Bianca Cappello, the trusses that support the Hall of the Five Hundred, and so on. The guided tours, conducted in Italian, English, French, and Spanish, are sometimes performed by actors dressed in the costumes of Cosimo I de' Medici, Eleonora of Toledo, Giorgio Vasari, or the court lady Isabella de Reinoso.
