Palazzo Agliardi, originally Martinengo Colleoni, can be found at no. 86 in Via Pignolo, in one of the boroughs of Bergamo where, in the 16th century, important noble families and merchants decided to have their palaces built.
Only a few columns remain of the 16th century building’s cellars because in 1741 the noble Mosconi family bought the palace and had it completely restructured by Caniana.
Property of Counts Agliardi since 1845, the palace has a large courtyard and first floor loggia supported by thin columns over a portico with twin columns and round arches in front of the rooms.
Inside, flanked by four rooms with gaily frescoed 18th century ceilings by Carlo Innocenzo Carloni and Federico Ferrario, there is a large and luminous central hall leading to an evocative hanging garden.
The rooms can be rented for wedding receptions, company meetings and dinners with catering supplied on request, while it is possible to organize guided visits to the property.
