How to get to Mugello

By bus
 
Buses departing from Florence are well connected with Barberino di Mugello. With the scheduled buses you can reach all the countries of the Mugello from Florence. Transport is entrusted to three companies, the CAP, the SITA and FLORENTIA BUS. With regard to Mugello, the CAP bus services reach directly from Florence, just a few areas: Vaglia, San Piero a Sieve, Borgo San Lorenzo, Marradi, Palazzuolo sul Senio and Barberino di Mugello. From each of these areas is however possible to reach other places, using other means of connection provided by other companies or by the municipalities themselves. SITA provides a service that covers the municipalities of Vaglia, San Piero a Sieve, Borgo San Lorenzo, Scarperia, Firenzuola, Barberino di Mugello, Vicchio. The bus timetables, fares and tickets are available at the station Sita in Florence, in Via S. Caterina da Siena 15r, phone: 055 214721, opposite the railway station of Santa Maria Novella. The company FLORENTIA BUS touches all the countries of the Mugello and Val di Sieve. By train
 
From the railway station of Santa Maria Novella continue on the line "Faentina" Florence-San Piero a Sieve-Borgo San Lorenzo and get off at the stop San Piero a Sieve. Continue with the bus Mugello Val di Sieve.
By car
 
From the North: A1 Milano-Napoli motorway, exit at Barberino, continue on SP131 and turn on the SP8. From the South: A1 direction Florence, exit at Barberino di Mugello, continue on SP131 and turn on the SP8. From Pisa and Livorno, take the FI-PI-LI, take the A12, follow the direction to  Pisa Nord-Firenze, take the A11 with direction Bologna-Roma and then A1 towards Bologna and exit Barberino di Mugello. For those coming from Florence, it is recommended the SS302 Faentina.
