The only and original Palladian Villas E-Bike tour explores the surroundings of Vicenza passing through 11 Villas, 7 of which are Unesco Palladian Heritage. The experience includes the rental of a luxurious Palladian E-Bike extremely comfortable and performing (bag and locks included), a special navigation system and an itinerant vocal narration: the guiding voice will be the spirit of Andrea Palladio, who retraces his history through the evolution of his villas (entrances excluded) and the immersion in his landscapes. The Network of Palladian Villas owners invites you to immerse yourself in an original, active and healthy way in the history and landscapes of the Unesco Heritage that made our architect the most influential in history. Deep in the Vicenza countryside, sumptuous residences follow one another as far as the eye can see in a widespread ecomuseum, with the gaze of a time traveler who admires the ever-evolving forms of the nobleman's country residence: from the only initially available reference of the medieval castle, until it gradually transformed into the world-famous Palladian Villa, thanks to the genius of a modest and prodigious stonemason. The itinerary is 55km long, all flat, and can be completed in between 5 and 8 hours, depending on your pace and the times of rest you choose. You will be remotely assisted all the time, including E-Bike replacement within 1 hour in case of breakdown. There is also the possibility of shortening the route, with our intervention in Palladian Van that can take you from any point to any other point, as an extra charge. The departure and ending poing is in Palazzo Valmarana Braga, in the pedestrian area of Vicenza, where you will receive all the instructions and a brief dive into the theme of the day. As extras, it will be possible to visit along the way 3 Villas, even with private entrances when they are closed. In Villa Caldogno you can see the only visitable idraulic system by the “engineer” Palladio, and in noble floor the frescoes depicting the entertainment of the family are the most beautiful ones in between the Palladian Villas around Vicenza. The minimalistic Villa Valmarana-Bressan is one of the early works of Palladio, the first “serliana” and the first typical plan of the Palladian Villa. Essential, it already contains all the quality of the architect who will become the most influential and famous in history. The experience will end with a visit to Villa La Rotonda, the icon of the Palladian Villa and one of the icons of the whole Renaissance. A perfect architecture, the point of arrival of the studies and the experiments of a life, unmissible if you get to Vicenza.
