About this tour
The Verona small group walking tour begins at Piazza Bra, where the guide meets you and the Arena rises in front of you: Italy's biggest and best-known amphitheatre. Next to it stands Palazzo Barbieri, today the town hall, which once housed the Austrian Civic Guard.
From there the walk heads into the old heart of the city. Piazza delle Erbe is the oldest square in Verona and covers the ground of the Roman forum. A few steps on, Piazza dei Signori is also called Dante's Square, because a statue of the poet stands in its middle.
The last stop is close to Piazza delle Erbe: Juliet's House and the balcony made famous by Romeo and Juliet.
- About two hours on foot
- An expert local guide, in English only
- Three squares, from Bra to Signori
