Embark on an unforgettable adventure to the rooftop of Sicily, trekking to the majestic summit craters of Mount Etna! Our journey begins at Piano Provenzana (1800m) where we'll board a 4x4 vehicle to Piano delle Concazza (2800m). From here, we'll lace up our hiking boots and embark on a 1.5-hour trek across a mesmerizing volcanic landscape, offering breathtaking vistas of the Aeolian Islands and the Gulf of Taormina. As we reach the rim of the Central Crater, feel the primal energy of the volcano's breath and marvel at the colorful sulphur deposits. Next, we'll venture to the summit area to admire the imposing Bocca Nuova and South-East crater from a safe distance, followed by a thrilling descent down steep, sandy gullies to Pizzi Deneri. Be awestruck by the majestic Valle del Bove, an immense volcanic caldera spanning 8 km in length and 4 km in width. After a rejuvenating lunch break, we'll continue downhill along the Quarantore gullies, taking in the stunning views of the 2002 eruptive fracture.
