After a quick introduction to the day's plan, we'll set sail westward towards the charming village of Positano. Our journey will take us past some of the Amalfi Coast's most stunning beaches, dramatic natural rock arches, and intriguing sea caves. Keep your eyes peeled for the ancient watchtowers that stand guard along the coastline! We'll make several stops at secluded beaches accessible only by boat, giving you the chance to dive into the crystal-clear waters for a refreshing swim or explore the underwater world with a snorkel. We'll even venture into some fascinating grottoes. Just a short distance from Amalfi, we'll approach Saint Andrew's Grotto, a massive sea cave adorned with stalactites, named in honor of Amalfi's patron saint. As we cruise past Duoglio and Santa Croce beaches, prepare to be amazed by the "Arc of Lovers," a natural rock arch sculpted over millennia by the sea's relentless embrace, resembling two elephants sharing a kiss. Later, we'll glide past the historic fishing village of Conca dei Marini, catching a glimpse of Sophia Loren's villa and the iconic "Il Saraceno" hotel nestled on La Vite Beach. From this vantage point, you'll also enjoy a spectacular view of the Santa Rosa Monastery, a former convent transformed into a luxurious hotel, once the home of Dominican nuns. Fun fact: this monastery is the birthplace of the "Sfogliatella Santa Rosa," a delectable shell-shaped pastry filled with ricotta cream and candied fruit – a local culinary treasure you absolutely must try! Leaving Conca dei Marini behind, we'll enter its western bay, offering stunning views of the villages of Furore and Praiano, as well as the Li Galli islands. Deeper within the bay, we'll discover the hidden Runghetiello Grotto and its tiny beach, where we'll anchor for a relaxing break, perfect for swimming or snorkeling. Next, we'll visit the famous Furore Fjord, Italy's only natural fjord and the site of the thrilling "MarMeeting" international diving competition. Every July, daredevil divers from around the globe compete by leaping from the bridge, a dizzying 28 meters above the water! Continuing towards Praiano, we'll get an up-close look at the Africana Grotto, a larger sea cave where the water shimmers with a unique blue hue due to the way the light refracts. Finally, we'll round Capo Sottile and cruise towards Positano, where another snorkeling opportunity awaits at La Porta beach, a secluded paradise accessible only by sea.
