Annunziata Palace is a majestic building in Piazza Vittorio Veneto. The date of construction is 1735, as we read on the lintel of one of the entrances, and was created to house the cloistered nuns of the Dominican order of Santa Maria la Nova.
From an architectural point of view the facade is decorated with cornices and arches on two levels; at the bottom, the large central arch gave access to a church built in the mid-nineteenth century but never consecrated. Currently this environment contains a cinema.
On top is placed a gable with a clock, above which is represented the coat of arms of Matera.
