This original museum, entirely dedicated to the theme of the Nativity scene and the birth of Jesus, owes its foundation to Father Sesto Serri, the initiator of a collection that currently counts over one hundred examples from various eras and origins.
Of particular interest are the Neapolitan sculptures, about seventy pieces, dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, and the late 19th-century nativity scene by Raffaele Minutolo, set in the Piazza Grande of Modena at night.
The collection is completed by a wooden group from the 14th century depicting the Madonna and Child, various engravings and some icons of Russian and Greek origin.
