Housed in certain rooms within the Casa del Mutilato, headquarters of the National Association of Combatants and Veterans, the museum dedicated to the two world wars officially opened in 1995, although the collection began to be formed in the early 1970s.
Over six thousand photographs of a military nature document the various fronts, captivity, moments of the Resistance, and the devastation caused by bombings. Over nine hundred objects make up the museum's collection: coins and ration cards, utensils from prisoner of war camps, uniforms, capes from 1915-1918, colonial helmets, and military equipment.
The exhibition also features an original 1912 bicycle, a ski soldier's equipment, and the uniform of the Garibaldian officer Enrico Marabini, who received a silver medal for the Battle of Bezzecca in 1866. The collection of soldier's mess tins bearing inscriptions and engravings stands out for its uniqueness, giving visitors a "living" memory of the harsh daily life of military life during the conflicts.
