The Duchess's Fountain is one of the monumental fountains in Naples; it is located next to the Basilica of the Incoronata Mother of Good Counsel.
The structure was built in 1939 at the behest of Elena d'Orléans, wife of Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy-Aosta. It was a gift from the Duchess to the city and was built according to designs by Giovanni Mongiello and Amedeo Teotolato. The structure is divided by pillars and lateral arches; under the central panel there is a coat of arms that shows a sonnet by Saint Francis, followed by the phrase "Donated by Elena Duchess of Aosta."
On the cornice there is a plaque and an obelisk that bears the date of the structure's founding. The fountain is finally characterized by five lion's mouths from which water flows.
