The residence of Andreasi noble family is a well preserved remainder of Osanna (1449-1505), the second patron of Mantua, beatified in 1515, who was a lay Dominican and a counsellor of Gonzaga princes.
The house is a beautiful XV century building, whose façade was likely designed by Luca Fancelli. Its frescoes and ceilings are still in good condition, while the original form of the enclosed garden was recently restored.
Andreasi's house, as well as San Lorenzo rotunda, is under the protection of the Dominicans. Associazione per i monumenti domenicani – id est the association for the Dominican monuments - helps the order to preserve and keep open for visits those two buildings.
