This medium-level e-bike loop tour covers approximately 25 km and 520 m of uphill elevation gain, starting from Capoliveri and crossing the Monte Calamita headland. The route alternates between 15 km of road, 9 km of trails, 1 km of side roads and a very short stretch of singletrack: a varied combination, with regular climbs and dirt sections that require a minimum level of riding confidence.
After leaving the village of Capoliveri, the route enters the Mediterranean scrub and follows scenic roads overlooking the sea, alternating smoother stretches with sections immersed in nature. The constantly changing scenery offers views of the coastline, the bays below and the hills of eastern Elba.
The heart of the tour is the Capoliveri Mines area, where the landscape changes character between iron-rich soil, mining terraces and old facilities linked to mining activity. The contrast between the colors of the rocks, the green of the vegetation and the blue of the sea creates one of the most striking stretches of the route.
The return to Capoliveri continues along the eastern side of the headland, rounding out an ideal experience for those seeking nature, coastal views and mining history in a single ride.
