We'll take care of the necessary details and get ready for our ascent. * **10:15 AM:** Our journey begins! We'll ascend by cable car to 8,200 feet, then hop into a rugged 4x4 minibus that will carry us to 9,022 feet. From there, accompanied by your knowledgeable guide, we'll hike to approximately 9,843 feet. Prepare to be amazed! At this altitude, you'll witness breathtaking panoramic views of Etna's colossal summit craters: the Central Crater (with its Bocca Nuova and Voragine), the Southeast Crater, and the Northeast Crater. You'll also see the craters formed by the volcano's most recent activity and venture through a 656-foot lava tube. After exploring the summit area, especially the sites affected by the Southeast Crater's latest eruptions, we'll begin our descent on foot.
