It has a mixed culinary tradition, coming from Liguria and Tuscany. You will dive into La Spezia Cinque Terre's food scene, enjoying traditional dishes and the best street food specialties.
This dining experience incorporates five traditional and street foods served in different eateries. You will be starting with an entree, and ending with a typical Italian dessert or a delicious ice-cream. You will taste some of the following dishes on the tour:
Sgabei - a small fried pancake made from bread dough.
Mesciua - chickpea, beans and wheat grains soup, typical of La Spezia.
Testaroli or panigacci - a sort of pancake, boiled and enriched with pesto, oil, parmesan cheese, and mushroom sauce (testaroli), alternatively baked, served with cheese and cured meat (panigacci).
Pasta with walnut sauce - typical from Liguria.
Fried Calamari and Anchovies - freshly fished locally and cooked directly by local fishermen.
Farinata - a delicious chickpea pancake cooked in a wood oven. The best one is soft in the center with a lighty crisp coating.
