The guide will provide an overview of Turin and its role in the development of the Italian identity. Chocolate specialties have been thriving in this territory because the royal and noble families were upfront in tastings. Let's start the tasting with Bicerin, the traditional hot cup recipe consumed in the '800 century cafès and patisserie that we will sightseeing. Gianduitto name comes from Gianduja: made by blending finely ground hazelnuts with chocolate, typically milk chocolate, to create a smooth and indulgent treat. It's a recipe originating from Turin, the capital of Italy's Piedmont region. Gianduja has a fascinating history dating back to the 19th century when cocoa was scarce and expensive. Sightseeing the main buildings and street of Turin, we will arrive to one of the main squares: Piazza San Carlo. We will point out details hidden in the tour and tell the stories behing. The chocolate tasting with continue to try premium dark made with Criollo cocoa. Criollo represents only 10% of the global cocoa production.
