How to get to Portofino

By bus
 
From the railway station of Santa Margherita Ligure, regular bus service which arrives in the square Piazza Martiri della Libertà in Portofino in about 15 minutes (stops: disco Covo di Nord Est and Paraggi). Runs every 20 minutes from 6.15 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. (up until 00:45 in summer).
By train
 
Get off at the station of Santa Margherita Ligure. From Santa Margherita is possible to continue on foot, by taxi or by bus.
By car
 
Take the A12 Genova - La Spezia - exit Rapallo. From here follow the signs to Santa Margherita - Portofino.
The town of Portofino is a pedestrian area: the car can be left at the covered pay parking in Piazza Martiri della Libertà, open 24/24. Free parking is located on the road between Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino, in front of the disco Covo di Nord Est. From here you can reach the center by foot or alternatively take a bus, active in the summer months, leaving every twenty minutes up to 8 p.m.
By boat
 
Portofino is accessible by ferry from several places: Genoa, Camogli, Santa Margherita, Rapallo, Sestri Levante, Chiavari and Lavagna.
