Opening hours: Tuesday – Wednesday – Friday – Saturday – Sunday from 9.30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Last admission for Itinerary N. 1 (artistic-institutional) at 2:00 p.m. and for Itinerary N. 2 (artistic-institutional and thematic) at 1:30 p.m. Visitors must be on-site at least 30 minutes before the tour’s scheduled departure time. The Palace will remain closed during Christmas holidays, during celebrations for Italy’s Republic Day (June 2) and throughout the month of August. Changing of the Guard of Honour - from October until June, 2nd: every Sunday at 16:00 (Piazza del Quirinale) - from June 3rd until September: every Sunday at 18.00 (Piazza del Quirinale) On the other days of the week the changing of the guard takes place inside the building and is not visible from the outside. --- Itinerary N. 1 (artistic-institutional): tour of the Piano Nobile (Bel Étage) and the Ground Floor – lasts an average of 1 hour and 20 minutes. Itinerary N. 2 (artistic-institutional and thematic): itinerary N. 1 + a tour of the Vasella room, the Gardens, the collection of Carriages and Harnesses – lasts an average of 2 hours and 30 minutes. 
Price: 10 euro. Itinerary N.1 is free, except for a mandatory booking charge of € 1.50. Schools are exempted from paying the booking charge. Itinerary N. 2 costs € 10, including the booking charge. It is free of charge for groups of school students and their teachers; for minors under 18; for students and teachers of the university schools of Architecture, Conservation of Cultural Heritage, Training Science and for university teachers and undergraduates of Letters or Literature with a major in Archaeology or Art History, enrolled in the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy and in the Academies of Fine Arts, upon submission of their certification of enrollment for the ongoing Academic Year; for the differently able and their escorts. For visitors between 18 and 25 years of age and for those over-65, as well as for State school teachers, Itinerary N. 2 costs € 5.
